I've been drawn to Wehr Nature Center for as long as I can remember...

From the enchanting trails to the carefully planned events - Wehr truly sets itself apart as a place to build new memories.

As I've matured over the years, so has my appreciation for Wehr and all of those that help to support the center so that this whimsical place may be enjoyed for generations.

The world as we know it has drastically changed over the past year...

The need for nature has never been greater. During these challenging times, we can all enjoy the physical and mental health benefits of being outdoors- while maintaining physical distancing.

Wehr's fall calendar is normally packed with programs, events, and fundraisers that are essential for the financial well-being of the Nature Center.

However, this year Wehr has had to make some adjustments for the safety of their staff and guests - Your support now is critical.

I invite you to help support a place that I cherish in any way that you can.

Wehr Nature Center (WNC) is an urban nature preserve offering natural history and community science/service programs to all ages throughout Milwaukee County. Staff and volunteers inspire people to explore and value the natural world. Wehr is open daily, year-round.  

Friends of Wehr Nature Center is a non-profit organization that supports and promotes Wehr Nature Center and its  programs. Friends of Wehr believe that every person deserves to have access to nature. Friends of Wehr Nature Center is committed to sustaining an accessible nature destination; a place for all seasons, a place for everyone.

During these challenging times our need for nature's physical and mental healing benefits has proven stronger than ever. And Wehr Nature Center needs your help! Wehr's fall calendar is usually full of events and fundraisers that help support the center financially. At a time when large gatherings are unsafe, was designed. During this three week fundraising challenge there will be something for everyone - a virtual walk, fun challenges, nature experiences and more!
