Wehr Nature Center has been part of my life since 1990.  My kids and their friends have participated and volunteered at events like Prairie Days, Maple Sugar Days, Halloween Haunts and summer camps for years. Now they are grown, and my grandchildren are now participating and volunteering at Wehr. (In between lots of nieces and nephews have participated and volunteered too.

To celebrate our wonderful times and help insure there will be many more memories to create, my family has created a team for the Wehr Adventure Challenge.  Our goal is to raise $2000.00 to help keep Wehr a place where generations can explore, play and volunteer together.

Wehr Nature Center (WNC) is an urban nature preserve offering natural history and community science/service programs to all ages throughout Milwaukee County. Staff and volunteers inspire people to explore and value the natural world. Wehr is open daily, year-round.  

Friends of Wehr Nature Center is a non-profit organization that supports and promotes Wehr Nature Center and its  programs. Friends of Wehr believe that every person deserves to have access to nature. During these challenging times our need for nature's physical and mental healing benefits has proven stronger than ever. And Wehr Nature Center needs your help! Wehr's fall calendar is usually full of events and fundraisers that help support the center financially. At a time when large gatherings are unsafe, was designed. During this three week fundraising challenge there will be something for everyone - a virtual walk, fun challenges, nature experiences and more!
