Hi, it’s your good friends or relatives, Monica and Mark.  We are hoping that you can help support a cause that we truly believe in.  We’ve been volunteering at Wehr for four years doing trail, indoor maintenance and at events.  We've met many nature lovers and users of the nature area and have seen how important this space is to physical and mental well being.  We take our grandkids to the nature programs and we have even learned that a bat eats an average of 7,000 mosquitoes each night!  That's batty. 

     The last two years we have been chairpersons for the fall fundraiser called Cider Sunday.  Due to COVID we will not be asking you to join us on Cider Sunday this year as it is cancelled.

     This being an unusual year, the Friends of Wehr and Wehr Nature Center will be combining all of the usual fall fundraisers into one – the WEHR ADVENTURE CHALLENGE.  It will run from Sunday, September 13th to Sunday October 4th.  

     All donations will help support trail improvements, accessible boardwalk expansion, nature center building upgrades, live animal exhibit education, scholarships for school field trips and nature area stewardship.

     We’re hoping that you are able to join us and donate.  Every dollar raised will go directly to supporting this awesome treasure!

Wehr Nature Center (WNC) is an urban nature preserve offering natural history and community science/service programs to all ages throughout Milwaukee County. Staff and volunteers inspire people to explore and value the natural world. Wehr is open daily, year-round.

During this three week fundraising challenge there will be something for everyone - a virtual walk, fun challenges, nature experiences and more!
